朝から戸惑っているお天気の熊本。今朝は昨日より空が白んで、早い太陽が姿を見せるかと思えば、まだ雲のローブをまとったまま。

雲の隙間には澄んだ青い空。だからでしょう、小鳥たちは定規で測ったように揃って空を飛び交っていました。蝉たちは戸惑いも見せないで、一斉に鳴きだしていました。

朝食の支度を済ませて、ゴミを出しに出る時分には綺麗な青空が広がっていた。このまますてきな一日になるのを予感していたのに。

陽射しは強くても、風が通ると物陰ではとても心地良かったのに。

 

小学校のコーラスの練習は、いつになく厳しい指導の夏休み。

洗濯を干して、昼食を済ませる時分には空気は湿度を帯びていて、空もどんより曇り空。

午後になって、「今日は映写会をしますので、子どもたちは公民館に来て下さい」という町内放送にわっと応える様子は期待出来ず。

 

 

 

 

夢ともうつつとも知れない少女の戸惑いを歌っていたケイト・ブッシュさんの「魔物語」が、発売当時とても好きでした。アコースティックな１枚目と２枚目に、フェアライトが加わって厚味のあるサウンドはジャケット同様にすごみがあります。

このジャケットが気になって、わくわくとレジに運んだのを憶えています。おとぎの絵本のような印象がありますけれども、白鳥や鳩も図鑑的で愛らしくない。一方コウモリやねこは不気味な表情で描かれている。蝶やらも交えてスカートの中から止めどもなく出てくる。当時のわたしにこのデザインが宝物の一つだったのは何故だろう。その時のわたしではないと、答えられないことでしょう。
